Congratulations — DigiHealth student selected to present at IEEE HEALTHCOM 2026
14 September 2026 · Student Work
The Master of Science Program in Digital and AI Technologies in Health Systems, Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health, congratulates Mr. Pitikorn Khlaisamniang, a student of the programme, whose research “Dual-Track Longitudinal Modeling of Diabetes Risk: Horizon-Specific Screening and Intervention-Safe Scoring” has been selected for presentation at the IEEE International Conference on E-health Networking, Application & Services (IEEE HEALTHCOM 2026) in New York, United States, 19–21 October 2026.
About the project
The project develops an AI framework that assesses diabetes risk ahead of time from a patient’s history of routine health check-ups, then builds several families of models so the right method can be chosen for each forecast horizon.
The work is split into two tracks: Track 1: Pure Prediction, for screening risk in advance, and Track 2: Intervention-Safe, which constrains the direction of the score so it stays clinically sensible when behaviour-change scenarios are simulated — supporting counselling and shared decisions with the patient.
Key results
No single model was best at every horizon. Tree-based models performed best over 1–3 years, while the biostatistical models performed best over 4–5 years; the Intervention-Safe models matched or beat the direct prediction models in 4 of the 5 horizons.

The programme extends its congratulations and its pride in this achievement, and wishes him every success on the international stage.
